Friday 27th September....

Group A went on adventure, through a tunnel, up a stream and up a waterfall. Stu don’t half do a good adventure day!

Group B have been canoeing down the river. We worked as a team, we paddled as a team and we sang as a team. We also got very wet as a team.

Group C rocked today! We went down into the caves and overcame the toothpaste tube, part of the cave that becomes narrower and narrower as you go through it. We really came into our own today. Teamwork was excellent and we all feel very proud of ourselves.

Group D went gorge walking. We were wet from the very beginning after diving into the river. We climbed, we ran and we jumped from a 10ft drop.

Group E went for a lovely walk in the autumn sun. We especially enjoyed the views from the top of the mountain and we walked all the way back to England.

Group F have been climbing today. We learnt how to climb using harnesses and belays. We were well and truly in each other’s hands

Thursday 26th September....

Group A - Cautiously the careful cavers crept carefully into the claustrophobic caves. (Poem made up by the children on the minibus).

Group B went on a waterfall walk but struggled to stay upright. Enthusiasm 150% and a good time was had by all. The bum shuffle challenge was exhilarating.

After squeezing themselves into wetsuits Group C  went on an amazing adventure day. Plunging into pools, scrabbling up gorges and rushing down rapids.

Group D went on their mountain walk. Unfortunately the day was very misty and foggy so they didn’t get to see much. So it turns out Harry Mendel is much more stable in the water than he is walking on dry land. Day 4 and Jacob has finally managed to get his shoes on the right feet.

Group E went underground, but not before a spot of lunch. We all managed to get through the letter box, apart from Mr Judd. We also walked through an underground river.
Group F travelled to Hay on Wye along the river. We managed the 5 mile course but not without a lot of huffing and puffing, and as always Theo was soaked before we even had lunch.

Wednesday 25th September....

Group A went down the river on canoes with the amazing Ms Taylor. However, their canoeing was not as amazing as they spent most of the afternoon in the river!

Group B visited Porth yr ogof and although we didn’t go through the letter box we did go through the corkscrew, the squeeze and the wormhole. Sajid lost a boot but it was found by Billy further down the cave.

Group C had a gruelling day climbing to the top of a Welsh mountain. It was a challenge that we didn’t think we could meet but we made it in the end, safe, sound and a little sore.

Group D went canoeing today. Jacob thought he could take on Stu the instructor, but he made a big mistake, as Stu got his payback by soaking the lot of them.

Group E went climbing today. It was tough and challenging but we overcame this to reach the top. Mr Judd thinks Denys might have found his calling as a mountaineer.

Group F went for a walk up the stream to the waterfall and managed to stay dry for all of 5 minutes. Instead of walking, every member of Team F, or The Flumps as we are now known, swam up stream like salmon.
